FLINT COMMUNITY CULTURAL PLAN
WED. APRIL 7TH, 4 – 6 PM


4 pm to 5:30 pm

Introduce New Members of Your Group

Review your “Vision Statement” and list of Major Issues, Opportunities, Obstacles from last meeting

Goal for today is to recommend 1-3 MAJOR LONG TERM GOALS (next 3-5 years) for your portion of the Community Cultural Plan. Remember to focus on improving and strengthening the roles of Arts and Culture in the community.


1. Brainstorm a list of Major Long Term Goals (next 3-5 years). Ask everyone to take a moment to write down the goals they would recommend. List these on a flip chart and discuss.

2. Pick the 1 – 3 major goals your group feels are most important;
Then Prioritize these goals and place in order of importance.

3. If time permits, beginning with most important goal first, list Recommended Actions that could take place in the short term (next 6 – 18 months).

4. If you still have time, for each action identify as many of the following items as you can:

  • The Resources (financial, human, equipment) that would be needed
  • The Person/Organization who could be responsible for implementing the action
  • Timeline – when the action could be completed


5:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Groups come together for breakout summary reports
