UPDATE
March 26, 2004
The Community Cultural Planning Task Forces met for the second
time Wednesday, March 17, 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Flint Public
Library. Again, more than 70 people attended this meeting.
After a Welcome and recap to the whole group, Consultant Morrie
Warshawski reviewed the agenda for the day, which included each
Task Force introducing new members of their group and revisiting
the “Vision Statements” from last time. Morrie explained
the goal for this meeting is to answer three questions:
- What
are the major current issues we must be aware of to move the
vision of this Task Force forward?
- What are the opportunities
and resources we can harness to help create our vision?
- What
are the obstacles that we face as we move forward?
After an hour and a half, the whole group re-convened and each
Task Force reported out. As before, they were instructed to synthesize
their notes and email them to Sue Wood within two days. These notes
are now posted on this website, as are updated Task Force rosters
and and several links to websites and articles of interest to the
groups.
The next (and last) Task Force meeting is Wednesday, April 7,
4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Flint Public Library. Task Force members
should review the notes from the previous meeting prior to attending.
